API Endpoint:
https://socialmobileregistry.digitalgov.gov/
API Description:
The U.S. Digital Registry API is a builder portal for tools that authenticate the validity of the official government social media accounts and mobile apps stored at the U.S. Digital Registry. The government created the API to establish channels through which citizens and other consumers of information from the public service domains can access the U.S. Digital Registry and probe the authenticity of the digital media accounts used to convey information. Ownership of an OMB Max ID is a prerequisite condition for accessing the U.S. Digital Registry. This limits the registry’s access to federal government employees and contractors. The API’s requests and responses are anchored on HTTP protocol and JSON format, respectively. Both the U.S. Digital Registry and its API are beta releases.
